Pre-Marriage Functions

The following are the major functions prior to marriage day:

1. The engagement ceremony is the first step to married life. After both sides have confirmed their marriage, rings are exchanged. This ceremony is special and very important, because it is also known as half marriage. It is the beginning of a new relationship between the two people. You can host this function at your home, or in a banquet hall. Then you can have lunch or dinner for your guests. This event is celebrated in different parts India. 2. Mehendi Ceremony: It is also a lovely ceremony in which the bride has henna applied to her feet and hands. It is a traditional ceremony, and it is very joyful. The belief is that henna will make a bride happy if it is darkened after drying. Many designs like flower, peacock, etc. They are created with henna. 3. Sangeet ceremony - Indian culture has space for everything. You can have fun with entertaining, as well as cultural, ceremonies. Sangeet is held at the house of the bride, and the ladies bring in dholaks or other instruments to play traditional wedding songs. 4. Tilak ceremony is very special for many families. This function takes place at the house of the groom and is attended by men from both families. The bride's family visits the groom's house for the pooja, and other ceremonies. After the ceremony, the father of the bride, along with other elders, gift items such as sweets and cloths to her. to the groom and his immediate family. The groom's dad also gifted sweets, jewelry, and other gifts to his family members and the bride. After the ceremony, there is lunch or dinner.
